Message from ASA
Dear ASA Families,

We've noticed that some students are being dropped off very early in the front of the school. Please remember that there is no staff supervision prior to 7:30 AM, and student safety is our top priority.

If Students will be having breakfast they may be dropped off in the front of the school and can arrive as early as 7:30 AM where they may enter through the front office.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep our Wolves safe!

Warm regards,
ASA Chino

Virtual Session announcement
We want to inform you about a proposed piece of legislation in Californiaβ€”Assembly Bill 84 (AB 84)β€”that may significantly impact public charter schools like Allegiance STEAM Academy and others across the state.

If passed in its current form, AB 84 could divert more than $210 million away from California’s charter public schools, shifting essential funds away from classrooms, teachers, and studentsβ€”and into additional layers of bureaucracy and administrative expenses.

Key elements of AB 84:
  • Make it more difficult to open new charter public schools,
  • Impose additional red tape around charter school contracts,
  • Create new barriers to credentialing for educators in charter schools,
  • Cut funding for nonclassroom-based learning by up to 30%, and
  • Increase operational costs through expanded administrative requirements.

We encourage families who are concerned about the impact of this bill on school funding and classroom resources to learn more and consider taking action by contacting your state legislators.

You’re Invited: Virtual Information Session on AB 84
Please join us for a virtual meeting to learn more about this bill, its potential impact on our schools, and how families can take informed, appropriate action if they choose to.Β

4th Grade Field Trip: Dodger STEAM Day ⚾

This Wednesday, our 4th grade students will be heading to Dodgers Stadium for Dodgers STEAM Day!

Please ensure that your child arrives at school no later than 7:30 AM, as buses will depart promptly at 7:45 AM. We cannot delay departure for late arrivals.

What to Wear:
  • Students may wear jeans or dress code bottoms.
  • Tops may include a Dodgers shirt, ASA spirit wear, or their ASA polo.
Important Reminders:
  • No bags or backpacks are allowed unless they are clear.
  • If bringing a lunch, it must be packed in a clear gallon-sized Ziploc bag.
  • If students bring a cellphone, they are responsible for it and it may only be used to contact parents.

We are expected to return to campus around 4:00 PM, which is after regular dismissal time. If your 4th grader has siblings at ASA, please make arrangements for those siblings to be picked up at their regular dismissal time, as the front office will not be able to supervise them.

Thank you for your cooperation, and we’re looking forward to a fun and educational day at the stadium!
