This week, our Wolves are focusing on respect — treating themselves, others, and their environment with kindness, care, and consideration. Students are learning that respect shows up in the words we choose, the actions we take, and the way we honor differences. Respect includes listening when others speak, using kind language, following expectations, taking care of our belongings and shared spaces, and valuing diverse perspectives.
Respect also means having self-respect: using positive self-talk, setting healthy boundaries, and making choices that reflect personal responsibility and integrity. When children practice respect, they build stronger friendships, create welcoming learning spaces, and contribute to a positive school community. 🐺💛⭐
We encourage you to continue this conversation at home! Here are a few reflection questions to spark meaningful dialogue during dinner, in the car, or before bedtime: - What does respect look like, sound like, and feel like at school or at home?
- How can you show respect even when you disagree with someone?
- What is one way you can show more respect for yourself, your family, or your school community this week?

1. “Respect in Action” Hunt (All Ages) Throughout the day, look for moments where respect shows up: sharing, listening, helping, or using kind words. Celebrate these moments together to reinforce positive behavior. 2. Self-Respect Boost List (Upper Grades or Any Age) Invite your child to make a list of positive qualities, accomplishments, or affirmations. Post it somewhere visible as a daily reminder that respecting others starts with respecting yourself. 3. Modeling Respect at Home: “10 Ways We Can Show Respect to Our Child” (All Ages) Modeling respect in the home can be one of the best ways to teach our children respect. When we model healthy behavior, it helps them to start practicing this behavior on their own! Learn more through this website link -> Modeling Respect at Home
Practicing respect at home reinforces the values we teach at school and supports our Wolves in creating a safe, caring, and inclusive community. 🐺💛⭐ |
