Hello ASA Families! 💛🐾
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a successful week at school! Congratulations to all of our students who participated in cross country—well done, Wolves! This week, our Wolves are learning about digital citizenship — using technology safely, responsibly, and respectfully. Students are exploring how their words and actions online matter just as much as those in person. We are emphasizing kindness, privacy, critical thinking, and making smart choices when using devices, apps, and digital platforms. 💻🌍💛
Developing digital citizenship skills helps children protect themselves, respect others, and build positive online communities.
Reflection questions for home conversations:
- What does it mean to be kind and respectful online?
- How can you stay safe when using the internet or social media?
- What should you do if something online makes you uncomfortable?
|
1. Pause & Think Tech Rule (All Ages)
Before posting or sending a message, ask: Is it safe? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
2. Online Kindness Challenge (TK–6th)
Encourage your child to send a kind message, comment positively, or thank someone digitally.
3. Privacy Talk (Upper Grades)
Discuss what information should stay private (full name, location, passwords) and why protecting privacy is important.
4. Family Tech Agreement (All Ages)
Create shared expectations for screen time, device use, and online behavior to promote healthy habits.
Responsible technology use helps our Wolves become respectful and thoughtful digital citizens. 💛🐺⭐
