Message from ASA
Hello ASA Families! 💛🐾

I want to take a moment to applaud all of our students for successfully completing their recent testing—what a fantastic accomplishment! We are so proud of their hard work, focus, and perseverance. Great job to each and every one of them!

We also have an important School Site Council meeting coming up. Your voice and participation matter, so please don’t miss this opportunity to be involved in our school community. We are especially excited for our 7th graders as they prepare for their performance of Shakespeare Unshackled. We know they will shine on stage! They will also be attending a field trip to the LA County Fair—what a wonderful chance to have fun, explore, and learn. We hope they have an amazing time and create lasting memories.

And now… it’s time for our 8th graders to celebrate! Your dance is here—get ready to dress to impress and enjoy a night full of music, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Hit the dance floor, show off your style, and make it a night to remember! Thank you for your continued support. We appreciate all that you do to help make our school such a special place.

Warmly,
Ms. Holt

🌟 Social-Emotional Learning Focus of the Week: Dealing with Change🌟

This week, our Wolves are learning about dealing with change — understanding that change is a natural part of life and learning how to respond to it in healthy, positive ways. Students are exploring how to manage big feelings, stay flexible, and find ways to adapt when things don’t go as expected. Change can sometimes feel uncomfortable, but it also brings new opportunities for growth. Thi
When students build resilience, they gain confidence in their ability to handle new situations and challenges with courage and a positive mindset.

Reflection Questions for Home:
What is a change you’ve experienced recently, and how did it make you feel?
What are some ways you can stay calm when things don’t go as planned?
Who can you talk to when you’re feeling unsure or overwhelmed?

🌈 Dealing with Change Activities for Home

Share Your Story (All Ages)
Talk about a time when your family experienced a change (moving, new job, new school). Discuss how everyone adjusted and what helped.
Feelings Toolbox (All Ages)
Create a list or box of strategies (deep breathing, drawing, talking to someone) that can help when facing change.
Plan for Change (Upper Grades)
Think about an upcoming change and make a simple plan together for how to approach it positively.
Practicing how to deal with change at home helps students build resilience, flexibility, and confidence — important life skills for growing learners. 💛⭐🐺
