Hello ASA Families! 💛🐾
We are gearing up for our state testing, and I want to take a moment to share some important updates and encouragement. Our CAST testing will be taking place this week. The California Science Test (CAST) is a statewide assessment that measures students’ understanding of science concepts based on California’s science standards, including critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application of knowledge. These assessments are an opportunity for our students to show what they have learned and how much they have grown.
We encourage all students to do their best, but also to remember that these tests do not define who they are. A good night’s rest, a positive mindset, and simply giving their best effort are what matter most. We want our students to feel confident, calm, and proud of themselves. Parents, your support makes a tremendous difference. Please help create a low-stress environment at home by encouraging your child, maintaining regular routines, and reminding them that effort is more important than perfection. Your reassurance will help them feel prepared and confident.
We are also excited to announce our upcoming “Howling at the Moon” dance! We warmly welcome all families to participate alongside your student. It promises to be a magical night filled with fun, laughter, and great music. We hope to see you there as we come together to celebrate our wonderful school community.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Additionally, progress reports will be sent to your email on Friday the 17th after school.
Warmly,
Ms. Holt
