Hello ASA Families! 💛🐾
As we prepare for state testing next week, our students are currently working through their ELA assessments, where they have the opportunity to showcase their reading, writing, and thinking skills. This is an important time, and we want to approach it with encouragement, balance, and confidence. We’ve been reminding our students that testing is just one moment in their learning journey—it does not measure their creativity, kindness, or potential. A helpful mindset is to simply focus on one question at a time, do their best, and then move forward. When students stay present and don’t put too much pressure on themselves, they are able to think more clearly and perform more confidently.
At home, your support truly matters. Helping students feel calm, capable, and reassured can make all the difference. Simple things like a positive send-off in the morning, keeping evenings relaxed, and reminding them that effort is what counts can help ease any testing worries.
ASA would also like to take this opportunity to celebrate the heart of our school—our incredible volunteers. We are honored to host a Volunteer Brunch to show our appreciation for all that you do. Your willingness to give your time, support our staff, and uplift our students does not go unnoticed. Whether you are helping in big ways or small, each act of service strengthens our school community. Your dedication, kindness, and partnership are deeply valued, and we are so grateful to have you as part of the ASA family.
Thank you for your continued support, positivity, and commitment to our students’ success.
Warmly,
Ms. Holt
