Message from ASA
Hello ASA Families! 💛🐾

What an exciting week we have ahead of us!
Our 8th graders will be heading out on their field trip to Knott’s Berry Farm—such a fun and well-deserved experience as we celebrate the end of their middle school journey. We hope they have an incredible time making memories with friends! We are also gearing up for Awards and Promotion on Wednesday. This is such a special milestone, so please remember to have your student arrive on time at Chino High School, dressed to impress and ready to celebrate all of their achievements.

This week we are recognizing our Trimester 3 award recipients, and we are so proud of our Wolves for all of their hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Their efforts have truly paid off!

And just like that… Thursday the 21st marks the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL—WooHooo! We did it, Wolves! 🎉 Congratulations to all of our students for completing another successful school year. We are incredibly proud of everything you have accomplished. Your hard work has not gone unnoticed, and you are more than ready for the next chapter. We hope you all enjoy a safe and relaxing summer break. We look forward to seeing those attending summer school, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back on August 10th!

Have an amazing summer, and thank you for being such a wonderful part of our school community!

Warmly,
Ms. Holt

Hello, Summer!

As the sun starts to shine brighter and the days grow longer, it's the perfect time to pause, recharge, and soak up all the goodness that summer has to offer. While you're planning your adventures, be sure to make space for your mental and emotional well-being, too.
  1. Step outside and soak it in. Nature has a way of lifting spirits. Whether you're hiking a scenic trail, tending to your garden, riding your bike, or simply lounging under a shady tree—fresh air can do wonders for your mood and creativity.
  2. Reconnect with your people. Summer is a great time to slow down and invest in relationships. Host a game night, plan a picnic, enjoy a backyard BBQ, or just call someone you've been meaning to catch up with.
  3. Catch those ZZZs. A steady sleep schedule can make all the difference. Use this season to reset your routine and give your body the rest it deserves.
  4. Prioritize what makes you smile.
Start a new hobby, revisit a favorite pastime, or simply spend a few quiet moments doing something that brings you joy. Little pockets of happiness can go a long way.

If you or someone in your family is facing mental health or substance use challenges, you’re not alone. Care Solace, a free and confidential service provided by Allegiance STEAM Academy, is available 24/7/365. Call 888-515-0595 or visit caresolace.com/asa to connect with care in your language, on your time.

🌟Bonus! Don’t forget to check out our Summer Transition Kit—created just for families to help ease into summer with confidence and calm. Wishing you a joyful, restful, and sunny summer break. See you soon!

🌟 Social-Emotional Learning Focus of the Week: Transitioning & Saying Goodbye🌟

This week, our Wolves are learning about transitioning and saying goodbye — recognizing that endings are a natural part of life and can bring a mix of emotions. Students are exploring how to express their feelings, celebrate memories, and look ahead to new beginnings. Change and transitions can be bittersweet, but they also help us grow.

When students learn to process goodbyes in a healthy way, they build emotional awareness, resilience, and hope for the future.
Reflection Questions for Home:

What is something or someone you might be saying goodbye to, and how does it make you feel?
What are some favorite memories you want to hold onto?
What are you looking forward to next?

🌈 Transitioning & Saying Goodbye Activities for Home

Memory Sharing (All Ages)
Create a scrapbook, draw pictures, or share stories about favorite moments from the school year.
Gratitude Notes (All Ages)
Write thank-you notes to teachers, friends, or staff to express appreciation and closure.
Looking Ahead (Upper Grades)
Talk about goals, hopes, and things to look forward to in the next school year or new environment.

Supporting children through transitions at home helps them feel secure, valued, and excited for what’s ahead — guiding our Wolves toward confident new beginnings. 💛⭐🐺
